Creating Your First Short Link
This guide walks through creating a short link in GoshLinks.
What is GoshLinks?
GoshLinks is a WordPress plugin for creating and managing short links from inside your WordPress admin area.
Activating and Deactivating Links
Each GoshLinks link has a Status. The status controls whether the link is active or inactive.
Choosing Between Redirect Types
When you create a GoshLinks short link, you choose a redirect type. GoshLinks supports 301 , 302 , and 307 redirects.
Customising Your QR Code
GoshLinks can create QR codes for your short links. Each QR code points to the GoshLinks short URL, not the target URL, so you can update the destination later without reprinting the QR code.

Deleting QR Codes
Deleting a QR code removes the generated QR image file for a link.
Expiring Links Automatically
Expiry Dates are a GoshLinks Pro feature. They let a link stop working as normal after a chosen date.

Scheduling Links with Start Dates
Start Dates are a GoshLinks Pro feature. They let you create a link before it should start sending visitors to the Target URL.
Setting a Deactivated URL for a Link
A Deactivated URL is a GoshLinks Pro feature. It lets you choose a custom destination for a link when that link is inactive.
Understanding Click Tracking and Stats
GoshLinks can track visits to your short links. The tracking options are controlled in GoshLinks > Settings > Setup .
Understanding Slugs, Base Paths, and Short URLs
GoshLinks creates short links using three main parts: your domain, your Base Path, and your link Slug.
Using Advanced Link Options in Pro
Advanced Link Options are available in GoshLinks Pro. They let you schedule links, expire links, and choose where inactive links should send visitors.
Using Filters and Search
Filters and search help you find the links you need on the All Links page.
Using Help Notes for Team Instructions
Help Notes are a GoshLinks Pro feature. They let you add your own team-specific notes below the built-in help instructions inside the plugin.
Using Notes on Links
Link Notes are private admin notes saved on individual GoshLinks links.
Using Table, Category, and Stacked Views
The All Links page includes three display modes: Table View, Category View, and Stacked View. Use the view buttons near the top of the page to switch between them.
Viewing and Downloading a Link's QR Code
GoshLinks lets you view and download the QR code for an individual short link from either the All Links page or the Edit Link page.
