Scheduling Links with Start Dates

Start Dates are a GoshLinks Pro feature. They let you create a link before it should start sending visitors to the Target URL.

Start Dates are a GoshLinks Pro feature. They let you create a link before it should start sending visitors to the Target URL.

How Start Dates Work

If a link has a Start Date & Time in the future, it is treated as scheduled. If you choose a date but leave the time empty, GoshLinks uses 00:00 for the start time.

Before the Start Date, visitors are sent to the first available fallback destination:

  1. The link's Before Start URL, if one is set.
  2. The link's Deactivated URL, if one is set.
  3. Otherwise, the global Default Deactivated Redirect Page.
  4. Otherwise, the site home page.

On and after the Start Date, the link can send visitors to the Target URL as long as it is active and not expired.

How To Schedule a Link

  1. Create or edit a link.
  2. Open Advanced Options.
  3. Choose a Start Date & Time.
  4. If needed, add a Before Start URL.
  5. Keep the link Status set to Active.
  6. Save the link.

Viewing Scheduled Links

Use the Scheduled filter on the All Links page to find links with a future Start Date.

Tips

  • Use Start Dates for campaigns that should go live on a specific day.
  • Set a Before Start URL if you want visitors to see a waiting page before the campaign starts.
  • Use a Deactivated URL as the fallback for disabled visitors or scheduled links without a Before Start URL.
  • Do not manually deactivate the link unless you want it to stay off even after the Start Date.
