Understanding Click Tracking and Stats

Learn what GoshLinks tracks, where stats appear, and how click data helps you understand link activity.

Understanding Click Tracking and Stats

GoshLinks can track visits to your short links. The tracking options are controlled in GoshLinks > Settings > Setup.

Track Total Click Counts

This setting counts how many times each short link is visited.

When enabled, the All Links page shows click totals in the Clicks column.

Track Detailed Click Log for Stats

This setting stores more detailed visit data for reporting.

Detailed records can include:

  • Date and time.
  • Country code when available.
  • Referrer host.

Advanced Stats (Pro)

Advanced Stats are available in Pro. They show detailed reporting for a single link, including charts, date range controls, country data, traffic sources, referrers, and delete tools for that link's stats.

Stats Icon on the All Links Page

The Stats icon appears when detailed click tracking is enabled and Advanced Stats are available.

Turning Tracking Off

If click tracking is switched off, GoshLinks will not continue recording click totals. The Clicks column is hidden when total click tracking is disabled.

Data Management (Pro)

Pro users can delete click data globally from Settings > Data Management, or delete stats for one link from that link's Stats page.

Tip

Keep both tracking settings enabled if you want full Pro stats reporting.
