Replacing a Licence Key
You can replace the saved GoshLinks licence key with a different key from the Licence tab.
Important Safety Behavior
GoshLinks only replaces the saved key after the new key validates successfully and becomes active on this site.
If the replacement key fails, the existing saved key is kept.
How To Replace a Key
- Go to GoshLinks > Settings > Licence.
- Replace the existing key in the Licence key field with the new key.
- Click Replace Licence Key.
- Confirm that you want to replace the current saved key.
What Happens If the New Key Works?
The new key is saved and activated for this site. The Licence tab updates to show the current plan, site usage, updates access, and last checked time.
What Happens If the New Key Fails?
The existing saved key is not replaced.
If the existing key was active, the message explains that the existing licence was not replaced and remains active.
If the existing key was not active, the message explains that the existing licence was not replaced.
When To Replace a Key
- You upgraded to a different licence.
- You are moving from a free licence to a Pro or Agency licence.
- You need to switch this site to a different customer or account licence.
