GoshLinks only deletes plugin data on uninstall if the matching cleanup options are enabled before the plugin is deleted.
Delete Links on Uninstall
If Delete all links and stats data when plugin is deleted is enabled, GoshLinks drops the plugin tables used for links and click data. It also deletes generated QR code files from the GoshLinks uploads folder.
This removes:
- Short links.
- Target URLs.
- Link titles and notes.
- Advanced link fields.
- Click totals and detailed click rows.
- Generated QR code image files.
Delete Settings on Uninstall
If Delete all GoshLinks settings when plugin is deleted is enabled, GoshLinks deletes saved plugin settings such as:
- Base Path.
- Default Redirect Type.
- Default Deactivated Redirect Page.
- Default Non Existent / Deleted Link Redirect Page.
- Tracking settings.
- QR code generation settings.
- Uninstall cleanup settings.
- Saved link category settings.
- User display preferences for GoshLinks admin screens.
Pro Licence Cleanup
The Pro add-on has separate licence cleanup options. Deactivating the Pro plugin can deactivate this site's licence assignment if that option is enabled. Deleting the Pro plugin can delete the saved licence state if that option is enabled.
What Is Not Deleted If Cleanup Is Off?
If the cleanup options are not enabled, deleting the plugin does not intentionally remove the link tables or saved settings.
Recommended Before Deleting Data
Run a GoshLinks export before uninstalling if you might need to restore or migrate your links later.
Important
Deleted database tables cannot be restored from GoshLinks itself. You would need a previous backup or export.
