Understanding Export File Names and Section Letters

GoshLinks export filenames include short section letters so you can quickly see what the file contains.

Site-wide exports use this format:

Example:

goshlinks-export-pslch-2026-05-06-1430.json

Selected-Link Export Filename Format

Selected-link exports from Bulk Editing include selected in the filename:

goshlinks-export-lc-selected-2026-05-06-1430.json

Section Letters

  • p - Default Pages.
  • s - Setup settings.
  • l - Links.
  • c - Click data.
  • h - Help notes.

Examples

  • pslch - Default Pages, Setup, Links, Click data, and Help notes.
  • l - Links only.
  • lc - Links and Click data.

Why This Helps

The filename lets you identify the file later without opening it. This is especially useful if you keep backups before imports, migrations, or cleanup work.
