The QR Code settings control when GoshLinks creates QR codes and whether Pro users can customise QR codes on individual links.
You can find these settings in GoshLinks > Settings > Setup.
Choose When QR Codes Are Created
In the QR Codes section, choose one of these options:
- Do not create QR codes - QR code tools are hidden and new QR codes are not generated.
- Choose whether to create QR codes per link - Adds a QR code checkbox to the Add/Edit Link page so each link can be controlled individually.
- Always create a QR code for every link - Automatically creates a QR code when links are created, and regenerates QR codes when the slug or QR settings change.
If you choose Choose whether to create QR codes per link, you can also choose whether new links should create QR codes by default.
Allow Custom QR Codes Per Link
If QR codes are set to Choose whether to create QR codes per link or Always create a QR code for every link, Pro users can turn on Allow custom QR codes per link.
This allows QR codes to be customised on individual links.
Choose Which QR Options Can Be Customised
When Allow custom QR codes per link is enabled, choose which options users can change on the Add/Edit Link page:
- Change logo - Allows users to choose a different logo for one link.
- Change logo size - Allows users to adjust the logo size for one link.
- Change logo background - Allows users to change the shape behind the logo.
- Pick QR code colour - Allows users to choose from the default QR colour palette.
These options can be enabled independently, so you can allow only the customisation controls you want users to have.
How This Affects the Add/Edit Link Page
In per-link mode, the Add/Edit Link page shows a Create QR code checkbox.
In always-create mode, the form shows a note explaining that a QR code will be generated automatically when the link is saved.
When custom QR codes are allowed, the Add/Edit Link page can show a QR Code Options panel. The exact controls shown depend on which customisation options were enabled on the Setup tab.
Tip
Use Always create a QR code for every link if you want QR codes to be generated automatically. Use Choose whether to create QR codes per link if some links should have QR codes and others should not.
